This was an attempt to stop eta-expanding aggregate sorts as discussed in #922 (reply in thread). It turns out that if we don't do it veriasm hangs. We can still do the eta expansion after constraint generation, but that requires a bit more effort than I anticipated. These are a couple of improvements I implemented while working on this.
